B.A
Upon completion of B.A Degree programme,
- Student will be able to learn a basic narrative of historical events in a specific region of the world
- Student can distinguish primary and secondary sources.
- Understand and evaluate historical ideas, arguments and points of view.
- Evaluate competing interpretations and multiple narratives of the past.
M.A
Upon completion of M.A Degree programme,
Student will be able to assess primary historical evidence
- Student can present clear and compelling arguments, based on critical analysis of diverse historical source, and effectively communicate his interpretations in written essays and or media.
- To develop a research question and complete a well- supported piece of historical writing.
M.PHIL
- To be familiar with contemporary historical trends.
- To have inter-disciplinary app.
PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES
B.A
Upon completion of B.A Degree programme,
- Students will have the ability to apply historical methods to evaluate critically the past and how historians and other have interpreted it.
- Student will be able to acquire basic historical research skills, including the effective use of libraries.
- Students will be able to organise and express their thoughts clearly and coherently both in writing and orally.
- Students will be able to demonstrate broad knowledge of historical events and periods and their significance.
M.A
Upon completion of M.A degree programme, the student will be able to:
- They will be able to produce their own historical analysis of documents and develop the ability to think critically and historically when discussing the past.
- Students will offer multi causal explanations of major historical developments based on a contextualized analysis of interrelated political, social, economic, cultural and intellectual processes.
M.PHIL
- Students will present orally their research or a summary of another’s research in an organized, coherent and compelling fashion.
- After the completion of history scholars will be able to distinguish between primary and secondary secondary sources and identify and evaluate evidence.
