Business Administration

 The Department of Business Administration was started in the year 2018. The department is essentially for the undergraduate teaching with a sanctioned strength of 50 students and a total of 6 sanctioned teaching posts. The department of Business Administration is now affiliated to Mother Teresa Women’s University with the objective To Educate, enlighten and empower the students so as to elevate the society by satisfying the Local and National needs. The department has earned its reputation in women education. The Department is well equipped with 5 staff members all holding Ph.D. The staff members are highly committed and dedicated who are available during class hours and also outside class hours to take remedial classes focusing on weaker students as a service. Further in order to enhance the mental health among students , counseling is given at regular intervals through mentor – mentee system. On adhoc bases personal 0ne to One counseling is done . At the department level planning and monitoring is done by the head of the department as per the instructions of the principal. Consistent with the college goals and objectives, the academic and routine activities of the department are planned well in advance . All the activities are time bound and subject to verification. The administrative activities are highly decentralized and the principal delegates the work down the line through the heads of the Department. The head of the Department in turn delegate the work among the faculty members for execution. Participation of the Head of the department in the important decisions related to college is a regular feature of our college. Similarly, the department meetings play a key role where in all the faculty members sit together and take common decisions. The class committee meetings, tutor system and the grievance redressel cell play a major role in the academic and psychological development of the department. Transparency being an important element of an ideal management, it is followed meticulously both at the college level as well as the department level. Wherever necessary students are involved and kept informed. Different in charges like class In-charge, tutor In-charge, Alumni In-charge , seminar In-charge, industrial visits In-charge, Business club In-charge, and Library In-charge are allotted on rotation basis .The ED Cell( Entrepreneurship Development Cell) play a vital role in molding the students for Self employment at the Department level and at the College Level.

The students of this department belong to the Business Administration Forum. We disseminate knowledge without compromising on standards and values. The education imparted here aims at the development of self- confidence, commitment to excellence, independence of thinking, sensitization to social and environmental needs and a holistic/global outlook on life, along with discipline. Apart from these, the students actively participate in sports , fine arts, extension activities, internship, projects , micro research , advertisement campaigns, Event management and management games.
